Man, that's not surprising because there was hardly any promotion for it... the label isnt doing a good job. Im a fan and i didnt even know it was out untili came on this board and people were like they got the cd.. i was like what? and i had to rush out and get it .. man that's messed up i cld seriously make some goood commercials for that album.. ill do it for free if i had the tools.. (sad face) anyway i live in memphis and they dont even play his music on the radio here.. and im sure this isnt the only city.. so he needs some more promotion so people can know it s out and what to expect on the album .. cuz its HOT! (sad face)

Most of the time THAT is the problem... for instance i am a big jagged edge fan... and i didnt know that their last cd had released until the DAY OF. I was in shock. Then they had shitty album sales, i'm like wow they didnt promote shit or they wouldve sold a lot like their last albums...

Anywho... I think that should be our official job ladies...

Man I wanted Lupe's album to sell more units in its first week. I tell you what.....years from now The Cool along with Food and Liquor and Lupend will be considered classics. But until then, I realy believe the Cool is going to climb the charts, patience is key. I just hope Lupe continues make great music because good things never go unrecognized.

It's all about promoting a product...

and a lot of record companies don't seem to care.

And I can say here in Germany no one really knows Lupe.
Except those real hip hop heads...and Germany is the 3rd biggest music market in the world.
So good promotion is the key to sell loads of CDs.

I bought it just 3 days ago. A lot of his fans might just be waiting for their paycheck or some money to come through, like I did.

He BETTER be number #15! I got conned into buying 3 copies. I pre-ordered one on a site linked from his myspace, then I bought two more copies from a record store in order to get wristbands for my sister and I to go to his in-store appearance in Chicago...that he was QUITE late showing up to. :(

That sucks for me, and everyone else who was stuck outside freezing for hours that day. But I still hope he breaks into the top 10 at least.
