The Pop World are just now catching on to Lupe and his "retirement"

After a historic victory yesterday with Obama being elected President of the United States...white folk are finally realizing that Lu is retiring...

Articles popped up on Popeater and the Gossip Queen Perez Hilton blog...The good folks over at Vimby even announced that he was "throwing in the towel"...

Atleast everyone is on the same page and they DON'T want Lu to retire...this topic is getting old to me and I really think it should just be dropped until that time comes...right now we should enjoy the great music and dope shows that Lu brings to our cities and SUPPORT THE FUCK outta him until he calls it quits...Go out and buy 10 more copies of The Cool and Food and Liquor and maybe we could convince to stay!!!

That's pathetic that when I mention Lupe to most people, they only know Superstar or Hip Hop Saved My Life. Both are great songs, but that's all they know! I'm not surprised that the pop world is on the late show about his retirement.

If he wants to stay, he'll stay. Nothing his fans say or do will change that-- after all, he is human and can make his own decisions.

yo I heard you on the radio talking bout you wasnt impressed by President Elect Obama's speech on tuesday. I wont be spending any more money on your projects for this blatant disrespect. Please, stick to rapping, retiring, whatever. some things you just need to keep your mouth shut on

You guys can never be pleased. You get pissed when people aren't up to the second about Lupe's career or can't name all the tracks on food and liquor in order..yet you complain about Lupe being too mainstream at times because of superstar. smh.

When i hear of this my first reaction was... "that hurts me soul", and i cant believe he is calling it quites, hes one of the best rappers in the game at this point and people have to recongize that so he can stay.

It's no surprise that the pop world just noticed.

They're hiphop heads that still only know him by Kick Push so it's not just them.

ya thanks for grouping all "white folks" together.
Appreciated.

There is nothing wrong with being a hip hop head. The real onesare up on true hip hop. Heck I want the guy to stay. I like his music, because it says something! But I hear its to focus on 1st and 15th records. It would be ok if he is doing it to influx the game with rappers that are trying to say something also. And no, white folks is bad. No one belongs in any category. Especially if the connotations are negative. But thats a social issue... albeit an important one.
