charles hamilton is a stan...he hatin for interscope to get sales up...and while we're at that...ef charles hamilton, if it isn't bad enough that he thinks sonic the hedgehog is a religion (yes peep the youtube)...now he's dissin soulja boy in an area where he has no credence...sales. Charles doesn't even HAVE an album, and Soulja Boy went platinum. hmmm...not a fan of soulja boy's music, but i'ma side with the lil homie...sorry charles, you aint NOBODY

He was just havin' fun on this one. This wasn't an actual "diss"; more or less CH just brushing the dirt off the shoulder. He even said in the 2DopeBoyz Interview that anyone who tries to diss him would automatically lose. Why would anyone believe he would contradict himself?

"but i'ma side with the lil homie...sorry charles, you aint NOBODY"

I would agree with you...if he wasnt part of XXL's Freshman 10, Hip-Hop DX's DXNext, or if he still doesn't have a record deal.

@S-Preme
Yea, SB went platinum off of Crank Dat, but is that really something to be proud off? Crank Dat may be the worst hip hop song of all time. He's pretty much trading in what credibility he could have for a pay check. I'm not a CH fan, but at least he stays true to what he believes, as apposed to acting like some brain dead goon.

the point isn't that charles isnt a better MC...the point is that the shit he's saying has no credence, because he has no room to talk shit, AND...he's doing it FOR interscope to build buzz FOR soulja boy...thus, he's a sellout too

and as far as the XXL freshman list...go to 07-08 and tell me how many people from that list are doing anything now? Lupe Fiasco. END of list. The only other 3 people with talent either didn't do shit (Joel Ortiz) or disappeared (Saigon and Papoose)...and being on a list with Ace Hood and Curren$y (who couldn't even manage to hang around Young Money) isn't special. And DX Next also said Hot Stylez was next...we haven't even heard a second song from them IN chicago, and they live here.

My point isn't that Charles Hamilton isn't a better artist than Soulja Boy...clay is better than him, but he is talking shit to get attention, its immature and annoying. I also don't think he can spit at all, but thats just an opinion so its irrelevant.

And please, people, stop saying Crank Dat is the worst hip hop song ever...how is it any different from dance shit from the early 90s (gettin jiggy wit it?), ok so he is a lil obscene, but thats a product of culture...i'd venture to say anything by Plies is worse than Crank Dat...Project Bitch by Cash Money, Tip Drill my nelly...the ammount of ridiculousness that exists in hip hop and everyone wanna label a kid who was 15 when he made that song as the worst ever??? come oooon

Good point. I'm sure some of yall remember "Teabag That Hoe" or "The Humpty Dance"

"The only other 3 people with talent either didn't do shit (Joel Ortiz) or disappeared (Saigon and Papoose)...and being on a list with Ace Hood and Curren$y (who couldn't even manage to hang around Young Money) isn't special.

Well, Joel Ortiz is now part of the group known as Slaughterhouse, which pretty much upped his popularity and relavence in the underground circuit. And he still gets a few spins on mainstream radio from time to time. Good point about Pap and Saigon, tho. I miss those guys....

But with that being said, if you go and check out the Shade 45 interview, the guys tried to see if Hamilton was the next Soulja Boy. That's what made him go off on SB. It aint a matter of relevence or credence. Charles explained why (he thinks) people dont take his work ethic (the Sonic thing) seriously, SB felt the need to respond (even though he wasnt insulted in anyway), and CH tried to end it with a few blog posts, and 2 warning shots.

good point about Joel...i guess i was just thinkin about mainstream buzz

i feel Charles on why he got mad, but he went too far in defending himself, but SB barely responded and I think CH took it too far with this video...and it's silly of him to say the reason people don't take him seriously is b/c of SB, thats an unfair and baseless parallel to draw

i personally think he's a lil insane with his sonic stuff, like IN the deep end

Charles Hamilton is the truth. Kid got mad talent. Not a Stan...I just actually listened to many of his mixtapes.

CH would destroy SB in an actual battle. This song is funny, but cause he don't even want to wste a real diss on this dude. The label benefits either way.

Yeah...I wish people would clarify that Soulja Boy had a platinum "SINGLE". His actual album didn't sell more than 200,00 I don't think. Well, maybe by now, but in the first week, it sold 177, 000, which is decent for a new artist, but still not platinum. When CH drops an album, all of the hating on him will cease.
