As Told On Lupe Fiasco's Messageboard

I work at a movie theater. I was working box office today and then this man and woman come up to me. Of all people it was Lupe Fiasco!!!!!!! I didn't say anything because I was trying to be professional even though I knew it was him. When he paid for their tickets and walked away that's when I had a panic attack!! I called all the other employees and told them Lupe was here!! Everybody thought I was crazy and didn't believe me. My manager came down and said she heard a celebrity was here then her and another employee went to the movie he was seeing to see if he was in there. When they saw him everybody knew I wasn't lying!!! My manager was so nice and let me go early so I could catch him and get a picture with him. I happened to have my digital camera in my purse!!! When his movie got out I asked him could I take a picture with him and he said yes!! He was so cool and the girl he was with was so nice and took the picture for me!!! She even told me that the picture was cute!!! Then after that they went to see another movie so I got his autograph for this guy I know who loves Lupe. Lupe is like is idol. I still can't believe what happened at work today!!!!

So last night this guy stopped by my little school... he goes by the name of lupe fiasco... He tore it up. I opened for him... I had an hour set just pumpin up the crowd and having fun. Again, lupe rocked out.

I got to hang out in the green room with him after the show. Think of the nicest person you know. Think of that guy that you think is just TOO nice. That is Lupe. Coolest guy. I tried to get him to make fun of Greencastle, IN but all he said was, "its cool"

Well saturday just gone i saw LUPE FIASCO live at the prince of wales in st.kilda! best show i've been to! got there an hour and a half early and stood right infront of the stage not moving from leaning on top of a feedback speaker (except for a piss!). Foreign Heights supported and were amazing infact bought their cd (signed) and t-shirt when i left! and met M.C. Trey who is a gun! (my t reaks of smoke but i havn't taken it off yet, tis even in my profile pic!). When foreign heights came out i was rockin, Maya Jupiter grabbed my hand, and i wanted to yell maya you sent me a funkoars and hykoo cd! and they asked for a guy to get up on stage to rap a love song to, course i was too chicken shit to, but the guy they grabbed was a eal good spirit and wnet along with it! then later in their show they asked for 2 MC's ... i'm there thinking should i? if we freestyle and i choke i'll never forget it! so as soon as i pluck up the courage they already have 2! GADAMMIT! and the first MC was sick, real quick, awesome flow, but the second guy wasn;t an MC just a guy having some fun (and not really rhymin' lol but he had more courage then i did) so a third guy gets up and rips it! DAMMIT! ah well, i wasn't too dissapointed at the end of the night as you'll find out soon!

Lupe comes out and rips it immediately, dacning around to a coldplay tune, yes coldplay at a hip hop gig! and i'm filming him and during a song he points at my phone and looks right into it! and i was like woooh! and he's such a funny, relaxed guy! having a laugh and just so energetic jumpin around, playing air drums, air guitar, air everything! and i'm right near him the whole time! and he comes up and stand on the feedback speaker i'm leaning on! and during "sunshine" a song about a girl he rapped it the whole time to a girl in the audience! and she gave him a kiss and we're all just feeling the vibes! it was mad! then my great moment comes during the part where he's talking to the crowd just before "kick push" and he's right near me and then he comes towards me and talks to me with his mic, YES THATS RIGHT! "what's your name lil' homie?" "KIERON" "and where you from?" "SASSFRAS" "sassafras? where's that?" "HA UP IN THE STICKS" "is that a long way from here?" "YEP" "you skate?" "YEP" and then he points and winks at me cos we all know now he's going to do kick push, talks to another guy who says he's from bangladesh some one boo's and lupe really cooly says "who booed, don't boo bangladesh" and we all laugh cos he's just such a cool guy! then he splits the chorus into 2 parts, and my side was the push side! so he starts and instead of saying "this one right here i dedicate this one right here to all my homies out there grindin" he says " i dedicate this to you, and you etc. pointing to peoplem and continues, then he comes up to me and says "AND YOU" pointing at me!!!!! then he shakes my hand and starts the song! AND I'M LIKE AGGGH! i recorded it but you don't see the handshake cos i threw my phone into my other hand to shake his hand! SO I'M LIKE OH MY GODDD!!!!! and t then after the chorus the second verse's music changes to "shook ones part 2" by mobb deep a rap classic! and then again in the third verse to another song! MY GOD! INSANE PERFORMER! and during "daydreamin" like alway through the night he comes up to me face to face, and i'm rapping the words at the same time as him, but this time the line "wheres champagne we need champagne" he looks me dead in the eyes and we both are just going with it!" wooooooooooo!!! and during the line "right about the lower leg" he shows his shoe to me! AND I'M JUST LIKE OMG!!!! so yes THAT WAS AN AMAZING AND GREAT NIGHT and i can let down that i didn't get up to free with foreign heights! but i just felt inspired to bring out the ole' rap book and start writing again! so this is why i say HIP HOP TIL DEATH!!!!!

Lupe Fiasco...is such a great spirit. He has such a humbling but hype quality about him. I loved his performance. However, I wasn't able to connect with him well because....a lot of MIDDIGITY FIGGIDITIES were ruining his show. I don't understand how you can grind to He Says She Says. But the day wasn't over. Sally was determine to get his autograph. And interestingly enough SHE DID! lol. Aight...after the show he was doing interviews. And a lot of his fans were waiting backstage for him to come out. BUT it was taking ages. He got a tip that he was on the other side of the backstage doing interviews (like right near the edge)...so with my peer pressure and Sally's submission, we headed over there. My girl climbs over the fence lol and was able to get the autograph and his t-shirt and towel that he used. CRAZINESS!EPIC weekend!

Yeah. I met Lupe Fiasco at HipHopSite the other day. I didnt find out until the day before when I got an email from the store and I was off that day so I figure why the hell not. Hes sick too and Im a fan so easy decision on my part. He was scheduled to be there at 5:00pm and I almost didnt want to go because I had to work at midnight that night and I wouldnt have any time to get sleep but I sacrificed. I could get sleep later. The bad part was that I was up since 7am that day, I went to see Lupe, then I went home with about 4 hours until work but I had to do some other stuff so I wasnt able to get a nap so I went to work and was basically up for about 26 hours straight. Nothing more fun then falling asleep while standing. Anyway, Lupe was scheduled to be there at 5pm but when I went there to see Pharrel a few months back he was about an hour late and I just figured that this would be the same case. I was right. I didnt show up until about 5:45pm and he wasnt there yet. There werent too many people when I arrived. All of the people there were able to fit inside the store and the store isnt too big. There were about 60 to 75 people waiting when I got there. I didnt think there would be too many people since he barely got his first solo single out. I waited for about 30 minutes or so before he got there. When he arrived the store employees said that Lupe was in the building and then Lupe just walked in the front door, went behind the counter and started signing stuff and taking pictures.

He was hella cool though. No security guards or anything like that. He took his time writing his autographs and taking pictures with everyone and stuff. His "autograph" is somewhat big too. It was weird though because he was totally humble. It was almost just like asking for the autograph of someone you knew all your life you know. Just totally down to earth. Very appreciative of everyone that showed up. As I was waiting in line I was just watching him and he seemed to be enjoying what he was doing and everyone that was there was happy when they left. He spent at least a minute with each person mainly because of his excessively large "autograph" but he chatted with everyone and there was no sense of trying to rush people out at all.

When I finally got up there I pulled out my rhyme book and the first thing he said to me before I even said anything to him was "what you got, youre rhyme book there." I was like yeah and I need you to bless it for me. I just thought it was cool that he automatically knew that it was a rhyme book. As he was singing my book with his long ass autograph I asked him about Elemnop because he was doing the show with them the night before. It was actually less then 24 hours since he was down in San Francisco to then he was at the store. Thats crazy. Thats grindin yo. He just pretty much said yeah to everything and "thats cool" stuff like that. I asked if I could take a picture and he was like "of course." The dude in front of metook the picture for me. I think his name was John so shout out to John for that. After I took the picture Lupe said thanks and said he appreciated the support then I said no, thank you very much sir and headed out. I dont know why I left though. I was like the 5th last person in line and I wanted to by something from the store too. Its just somewhat standard protocol to just leave when you get someones autograph for some reason. All in all he was just a great person and he one of those people that you want to support because of how he truly appreciates it. His album got pushed back just like Pharrels did whom I also met at the same store. I might be bad luck. Anyway, this was probably the best autograph signing Ive been to. The worst is still Mandy Moore. That bitch. 5 fuckin hours and I couldnt even take a picture with you. Whore!!!

I met Lupe Fiasco back in May at an early fan awareness party. He arrived, skateboarded for us outside and spoke of himself, instead of singing. When he signed my poster I asked him how he was feeling because of his album getting bootlegged and consequently being pushed back. He shrugged his shoulders and mumbled. I bet he wanted to reach across the table and hit me. I didn’t want to hurt his feelings by telling him that I had the ability to bootleg is album, but I choose not to – not out of respect or caring but because of my lack of caring to listen to him. Kick, Push, Kick, Push and Punch. Kick, Push, Kick, Push and Toss.

Lupe was in the store. Guy's real nice and a good sport. We cracked jokes for like an hour. We even tried to get him to skate and I showed him the stores downloaded copy of his album. Tim even told him flat out that he didnt want to go to his show. He just kept smiling the whole time. Probably cause he makes a lot of money and nerds with blogs don't.

Dear Lupe Fiasco,

Yea, that was me in the airport yesterday, the one who chased you down. Thanks for not running away from me. It was nice meeting you. I was a little excited and I think I forgot to mention how fabulous you are. I use your lyrics all the time in my classroom (we did a whole lesson on the history of hate in America and we listened to "American Terrorist" and picked apart the words and weight of the issue). I'm proud to have introduced my students to music with meaning. Yea, they dig you. Figured you'd want to know that. Couldn't quite remeber how to talk yesterday besides calling your name and shaking your hand with the enthusiasm of a 12 year old girl seeing someone she has a poster of (minus the screaming and carrying on). Better then when I saw Ahmir, in which I think I uttered "Quest you're the best". And don't get me started on the time I bumped into Dave Chapelle. Pitiful.

So, yea, I think you are an amazing musician. Keep it up.

LMAO...The first two sentences of this "letter" made me laugh out loud. I pictured in my head a scene of this person chasing after Lu in an airport, like a typical chase scene where Lu was running up the down escalator, pushing down old women with walkers, knocking over trash cans, falling and then doing a tuck and roll type move and then running some more...LOL...It was funny in my mind...

TODAY IS THE FREAKIN BEST DAY OF MY LIFE! I CAN'T STOP SMILING!

Saw Lupe Fiasco today at the UW. Not only was he great in concert what made it freakin over the top is when he got to "I Gotcha". Anyways, while he was singing the first verse to "I Gotcha" he freakin points me out in the crowd and starts SERENADING ME!!!! . Then not only that, he was wearing sunglasses, and he took them mid way so I can look into his eyes and then he called me beautiful. FUCKING YES! aint nobody can say anything about me ever. I mean a man so talented and gorgeous freakin considers me beautiful, HA! I believe it! Freakin yes! I AM BEAUTIFUL according to LUPE FIASCO!!!. I was also singing along with him while he was singing to me, but then i forgot the lyrics because I couldn't freakin believe that that was happening , but my stupid ass decided to take pictures, which didnt come out, instead of taking a video, but its engraved into my memory! Freaking the BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!

Lupe Fiasco was very dope to and at the end of the show I got to meet him. He was a pretty cool cat. Wish I could have chatted with him longer than 5 mins *lol*. But he had important people to see (like his "check cutter" *lol*) than to hang out with a lost little Cali girl all night *lol*. All was understable though, so I got my picture and hug and bounced. As I hugged him I whispered in his ear, "I just might not let go", which he got a kick out of and chuckled. lol. I was only joking of course. I really enjoyed myself at the show. All Lupe shows are highly recommended from me.

See the wallet he has on, I was in the front and when he came to our side these girls behind me started pushing me all up on him and his wallet chain got caught on my hand and it cut my finger...How that happened I have NO IDEA...But I will cherish that scar FOREVER...LOL...Sike naw but forreal...It hurt...BAD...I Should have sued...lol...He lucky I like him.




This Dude beside me was hating on his jacket, talking about it looked like an old Fila jacket he owned when he was a kid back in the 90's. I just looked at him and shook my head because he OBVIOUSLY DOES NOT see the FLYNESS of this jacket...AND its PURPLE...I love Purple on Guys...Not lavender, but a deep purple such as this one...But enough about me...Back to Lu & Bishop...

The energy that this man has when he is performing is CRAZY...from the perfect hand motions, to the dance routines that him and Bishop perform, to the sporadic jumping up and down, running back and forth, violining, Everything...JUST CRAZY!!!

Another funny story about that night, When Lu does his American Terrorist section where he gives you the history lesson and he was talking about how we as college students are the future leaders and we need to implement programs that can help bring about change in this Effed up Society, and then he starts talking about things we could do and somebody yells out, "AND VOTE" and Lu pauses, and says "VOTE...FUCK VOTING" and Everybody is laughing, clapping in agreeance...well at least I was...and of course Bishop eggs it on by saying "Awwww Lu, He thought you was gone agree with him about voting..." LMAO...HILARIOUS PRICELESS MOMENTS THAT YOU CAN'T GET ANYWHERE EXCEPT AT A LUPE FIASCO SHOW...

so i was @ work, the other day
...i work @ the apple store
and it's been crazy busy
so i'm ringing
and u know @ a certain point
all the faces become a blur
u just wanna get
the line down....so i look
up, and i see fuckin Lupe Fiasco
("girl, there go Lupe Fiasco" i frantically whisper to
Kenyetta, next to me, and she's obviously
starstruck too...lol)
and he's lookin @ me, standing to my right,
askin me where the bathroom is
"how u doin?" i ask
he nods "how u doin"
"good. through that door and to your right"
maybe he nodded or said thanx,
i don't remember
so me and kenyetta realize that he's there w/ his mama
awww, we thought that was cute and humble of him...
so finally he comes out of the bathroom, right after one of the
customers go, "Lupe Fiasco is takin a shit in your bathroom!"(disclaimer: they hadn't actaully seen or heard him shittin, they were just speaking figuratively)
....and we look up again and he's in line,
me and kenyetta look @ each other...who's line is he gonna end up in....
not mine, i secretly hope, i mean, i'm a charmer (the boys love me :] ) but i was worried about sayin' somethin silly....
he ends up in kenyetta's line...
and i'm like staring, and he feels me lookin, and he glances up
every now and then, w/ a little smile...
as he's leaving, he nods, "goodnight"
"bye. goodnight" i say......his mother smiles
