When i went to the Glow in the Dark tour in Dallas in June, I came just to see you're performance and by the final performance when you took the stage again from Kanye's finale, I truely admired your lyrical talent. Though you are a busy person, I just thought I'd give you one more thanks to you for continuing to doing you like no one else can.

Okay so I just caught up with some Number 1 Fan Emails...

1.) I first fell in love with Lupe{All Hetero} when I heard him say "I'm tryna stop lyin'(lion) like I'm Mumra but I'm not lyin' when I'm layin' on the beat". My heart started beatin' fast and I thought to myself..."THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR! A RAPPER WHO MAKES REFERENCES TO THE THUNDER CATS!!". So then I began researching him. Came across SEVERAL mixtapes and wondered why I'd never heard of him even though I lived in Chicago myself. I own EVERY single one of his mixtapes. Had to download some but I did find some of the actual copies! I mean in my opinion THEE BEST RAPPER EVER was in my own back yard and I had no idea about it. The more I researched the more I fell in love wit Lupe{Once again...ALL HETERO}. Not only was he out of the box...he probably Fed-Exed it somewhere that it would never compromise his individuality. Listening to Lu' actually got me to become myself and for that he is something like a superhero....SUPER LU'!

1) The first time i fell in love with lupe was when i first saw the KICK PUSH music video on BET. I had never heard the song on the radio before hand so i was totally unawhere of the song and him as an artist. The thing that sparked my interest in him was the fact that I had never heard a Hip/Hop song like it before. SKATEBOARDING?! He was obviously a lot different from the other Hip/Hop artist on BET and the song was sick as hell! "I LIKE DIS DUDE!" At the end of the video when his name flashed on screen i read to myself: "Lupe Fiasco? Hmm, is he puerto rican" LOL! but seriously, even his named sounded interesting to me. So, I googled him, read some articles and watched some interviews on youtube(I found out he wasn't puerto rican LOL). I saw what kinda dude he was and how he didn't hide how he was deep into japanese anime, comic books, toysand his versitile musical interest! So the realness got me!

2) LOL I don't think I'd even have the guts to steal anything from him but im gonna pretend for a moment that im this "crazy lupe stalker". I'd most likley steal one of his wee ninjas! I really wanna have one hangin on my jeans too!

Well, to give u some info on ya gurl Nee': Im fun and crazy most of the time and will say random things a lot LOL. I've been described as an "animated person". I like to read but Listening to music is my fav pastime. my fav color is blue. I may be female but pink is my least fav color. Guess who's on third/Lupe steal like Lupin the third/

That opening line hooked me to Lupe after that verse I knew he was dope & we are from the same side of town so I looked further into him and found out this is the same guy who made Kick, Push this is while it was making rounds in Chicago before it was all over MTV. Then I found out he was hosting my cousin Nikki Lynette's Hard Candy mixtape and I was like he is dope & cool.... Finally I got my hand's on the Farenheit Mixtapes and the Chi-Town Guevera mixtapes and I was gone. June 2006 came & I was pissed by the leak. September came and as soon as I listened to Food & Liquor I was blown away. Being a huge Nas fan I thought no album could touch Illmatic, It Was Written, or Stillmatic. I had to admit I was wrong. Best album ever. I was dissapointed in the videos for F&L though. I thought they played up the nerd thing too much. Then I saw Superstar. This dude is truly my idol so 4give the long ass paragraph. In short I am the proud purchaseer of 5 copies of Food & Liquor and 21 copies of "The Cool" including an autograhped copy and Special Edition copy with bonus disc from the Halloween House Of Blues Show in Chicago (which i attended). And as an faithful of the FNF Army I have given some of the 21 copies of "The Cool" to people who otherwise would have used the Limewire Devil to hear Mr. Fiasco spit. Those efforts have brought him two fans of 55 yrs plus (my 61 year old father and my godfather) as well as ex convicts and a slew of others.

And if I could steal from Lu it would be the platform he has to express his views to the world... Oh and the Superstar Jacket.....

When Did you first fall in love with Lupe's music?

Well let's see, this could take awhile, but this is really how it all started. I heard one of his mix tape tracks awhile back, can't even remember the date. It was actually "Conflict Diamonds". I wasn't die hard then, I just really dug the track and couldn't for the life of me find out who this cat was. He emerged again, well in my world, in "Touch The Sky". The third verse was my fave on the song, I didn't know it was the same guy at the time. All I knew was his name was Lupe Fiasco. Then came, "Kick, Push", which my boyfriend actually put me on to. From there, I snatched up all his mix tapes and fell for his music. He was actually one of the first rappers in a loooooong time to really catch my attention. His lyrics really grab hold of the listener, like you want to learn every verse, every hook. Of course, I added F&L to my very extensive CD collection. I probably listen to that CD everyday, no lie. My friends, boyfriend, everyone can testify. I mean the radio isn't worth listening to these days. His album and mix tapes are just timeless, I just hit repeat and random, and let it play. He's real, I can relate, and he's goofy as hell.

For some reason, I never thought he would make it to VA, but he did. March 7, 2007 with The Roots. Yea I was standing front row with some of my girlfriends. I have to say that was hands down the BEST show that I've ever had that chance to witness. They both put it down. I even got to be one of the very special ladies he serenaded on, "Sunshine". 3rd verse. He looked shocked that I was spitting the lyrics word for word, he was like smirking. But shouldn't all his die hard fans know the words? My friend recorded it with her camera phone, wish I could upload it, but she tried and failed. After Lu's set, he actually stayed around for The Roots show watching like he'd just seen it for the first time. We got to party with Bishop G, and his manager friend, which you probably met. I got a compliment there from him said I was "super fresh", he liked my kicks, and asked me where I got them from. Would've been nicer coming from Lu but I'm content. I got to watch Lu party onstage with The Roots while his friends commentated with us. I was actually suppose to open up (background dancer for an artist) for another concert he was performing in, but that fell through (heartbroken). I still ended up going to the show, but it would've been so much sweeter to actually have opened up. But oh well, after those two shows I'm still going strong, not letting up. Lupe is a genius in my world.

If you could steal one thing from Lupe Fiasco, what would it be and why?

I would definitely steal some time from him. I just want to act up with him, and travel, cause I swear he gets to go to the best places, London, Japan, Paris. That way I'd be up on my fashion game like he is. GQ w/o a question done so effortlessly. Gotta love that!

So I decided to switch things up with the fan of the moment for this ummm...moment??? Okay so here's whats gonna happen. We have 2 people that are gonna duke it out for the Number One Spot as Lupe's Fan of the Moment. Throughout the next week and 1/2, they need to do whatever they can to convince everybody that they are Lupe's #1 Fan. 1. I would have to say that I first fell in love with Lupe after I saw the Touch the Sky video I was like "who is that smooth brother in the suit?" and its been a Lupe life for me ever since.

2. I would have to say if I could steal one thing from Lupe...it would have to be his dapper ass lean (his swag...his style...etc...) who wouldnt wanna be the female equivalant to Mr. Fiasco?

1) I fell in love with him when I heard him rap for the first time, the song was Muhammad Walks (ya I'm Muslim), and I loved the beat from Jesus Walks but never agreed to all of the lyrics. I kept thinking it would be cool to listen to the beat without some of the lyrics. Then everything from there on made me love him even more; The fact that he is a Muslim/Skateboarder/Anime watcher/Geek/Macbook Pro owner/Gentleman/Politically aware/Joking person and his sense of Swagger just blew me away (oh and he makes excellent music). Just whenever I think he can't amaze me anymore, he comes up with something that blows my brains out (do you know what I'm talking about?)

2) It would be his Macbook Pro, but I got one for college so I'm gonna have to change it to his movement. The way he moves when he sings is mesmerizing, he doesn't just hold up some gangsta sign and wave it all day, he doesn't stand still, and he doesn't dance like someone mentally challenged (no offense) but he actually moves to the lyrics. I'm going to have to go out on a limb and say that I am Lupe's #1 Supporter (I hate the word fan) outside of his immediate family and close friends... But not of the moment... I am now and forever will be two steps above the rest... I've flown from coast to coast to go to his shows... I've been to 9 shows so far... Obviously, I own F&L in addition to a variety of mixtapes (including, but not limited to: Fahrenheit 1/15 The Truth is Among Us, Revenge of the Nerds, A Rhyming Ape, Lupe the Jedi, Touch the Sky, etc...)... EVERY high school and junior high school that I work at, the children know how I feel about Lu and have, of their own accord, began calling me Ms. Fiasco... I am constantly in debates with grown men about why he is a dope lyricist... I have back issues of tons of mags he's been in (even ones from the UK)... I even got his name on my sorority jacket...

Well... It is somewhat of a continuous process... Everytime I see him ,I love him more and more... But here's the rundown:
In late 2005, Kanye West's *Late Registration* came out and his verse on *Touch the Sky* was bananas (I'm tryin' to stop Lion like I'm Mum-Ra... GENIUS!)...In early 2006, I had lunch with a friend of mine who was raving about Lupe and his song *Kick Push*, which I'd never heard... Soon after this lunch meeting I heard his song and thought it was clever... The day before his album came out, I heard him on the radio and he was sooooo funny and seemed like such a cool dude. He played a few songs off the album including *He Say She Say*. But when he played *The Cool*, I knew I was gonna go get *F&L* the next day, and I did... He came to Frisco (San Francisco, for the lames) on 11/07/06 and my friend bought me tickets as a late birthday present (my B-day is 11/02)... And after seeing him live, I was hooked... I have been to 9 shows: Frisco, DC, Baltimore, LA, Vegas (twice), Riverside and Cleveland with no signs of stopping in the future... If I could, I'd go to EVERY show (I actually looked into plane tickets to Nihon (That's right KennyKenKen, I am familiar with the language), Australia and Canada. I'm a substitute teacher though and it's kinda hard to make that income stretch. So, for now, I'm going to have to confine my travels to the states...

Uhmmm... I wouldn't steal from him... However, I plan on asking him for a job. I'm going broke traveling across the country so it would be a lot easier if I worked for FNF so I could travel and go to shows for free...

I have to agree that you are DEFINITELY Lu's #1 Supporter. Your 9 shows really do spit all over my measley 1 show. But after Lollapalooza, when me and KayCee complete our "Hershey Agenda" (KayCee, I've named our mission, so its Official now and we HAVE to do it LOL) Then maybe we can actually compete with you because right now, AIN'T NOBODY EFFIN WIT YOU...NOT NOBODY!!!! 1) I first HEARD of Lupe when I was on the Atlantic Street Street Team website....I'm not sure what i was doing on there (prolly some Pretty Ricky mess shhh! u aint hear that from me) but i was...they had the little music player at the top of the page playing Kick, Push...the beat sucked me in..and the fact that he was talking bout something different blew me away....It was instant Ear Candy if i must say so myself....(smiles)....After that experience I totally forgot about him....He found me again later that summer (You likes how i said he found me haha..whatever) via the internet again... go figure...and I heard more of his music...I think Muhammad Walks was the song that did it for me...being a Muslim myself, sheesh I was flattered AND WE'VE BEEN TOGETHER EVER SINCE :) LOL
